Due to continued growth, we have an exciting, newly created role for an Product Engineer / NPI Process Engineer to join a highly motivated team and help create products that improve lives.

The successful candidate will coordinate the cost-effective and timely introduction of new products in collaboration with other departments and will make an essential contribution to continuously improve the company products and processes for the benefit of customers.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with relevant departments (R&D, Operations, Procurement) to ensure the cost-effective and timely introduction of new products, including planning and overseeing new manufacturing processes and resolving production bottlenecks.
  • Identify and implement processes for new products, ensuring both product and process quality are maintained, and conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving where required.
  • Manage design transfer by producing project timelines and costings, assessing tooling requirements, placing orders, and updating technical literature, while also facilitating feasibility studies and implementing necessary design change controls.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and components to support production schedules.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects using lean methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role related to process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Qualification in a relevant discipline, either apprentice-trained or to degree level.
  • Experience in production process improvement for efficiency (material utilisation, time, cost, quality, compliance).
  • Experience working with different materials such as wood, sheet plastic, fabric, sheet cardboard, etc.
